To backup PST files, there are generally two approaches. Approach 1, use the So Simple smart scanning engine to find your PST files. Approach 2, select the files explicitly.
Approach 1:
Launch Mastermind Backup
Click the wrench next to File and Folder Backup and select Scan all folders
The software will scan your system
You will notice that it selects "Documents" (the documents search filter includes PST files)
Accept the search results, and finish setting up your backup
Approach 2:
If you want to backup a .PST in from an older version of Outlook:
Launch Mastermind Backup
Click the wrench next to File and Folder Backup and select Scan all folders and click Next
Expand the C:\ drive
Expand Users folder
Expand 'User' folder where User represents the account for which you are trying to backup the .pst file
Expand App Data folder
Expand Local
Expand Microsoft
Check the box next to Outlook folder
If you want to backup a .PST in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003:
Launch Mastermind Backup
Click the wrench next to File and Folder Backup and select Scan all folders and click Next
Expand the C:\ drive
Expand the Documents and Settings folder
Expand the Local Settings folders
Expand the Application Data folder
Expand the Microsoft folder
Check the box next to the Outlook folder
