The backup report is sent when the online backup session completes. It is also sent if the online backup session is canceled through the online backup software. The online backup session can be interrupted if the computer is shut down, restarted, or goes to sleep/stand by. If the online backup session is interrupted, the backup report will not be sent.
The fastest way to verify that you can receive the email backup reports is to start the backup session and cancel it. The following steps will describe how to verify:
1. Launch the online backup software and verify that the email backup reports option is enabled. Go to Menu > Advanced Options > Email Backup Reports. Make sure the option "Send email reports at the end of backup" is checked. Enter your email then click save.
2. On the main window, click the Backup Now button.
3. When the upload agent window loads up and starts processing a file, click cancel button to cancel the backup session.
4. When the upload agent window disappears, check your email for the backup report.
If you still did not receive a backup report, check your email spam filter or test a different email address. You can also add smessaging.exe, sosuploadagent.exe, sstorage.exe to your anti-virus/firewall white-list.
