If you open the task manager and look under the processes tab, sosuploadagent.exe will flash for a second and disappear.
Solution 1
If the backup does not start properly, then you can try out the following
1. Try to add the following exceptions in the firewall as well as anti-virus program.
a. sosuploadagent.exe
b. SStorage.exe
2. Try to run the backup directly from the command prompt? Kindly do the following.
Open an elevated Command Prompt. To do so, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
3. Type the following command and press ENTER.
Command: C:\Program Files (x86)\Online Backup and Recovery Manager\sosuploadagent.exe backupnow <username>
If it does not kick the backup then please try out the second solution below.
It's possible that a script file does not register properly in the system. Kindly do the following to register it again.
Open an elevated Command Prompt.
To do so, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and hen click Run as Administrator. Type the following command and press ENTER.
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
4.The Windows script may be corrupt. You can download the script based on the operating system.
